ANALISIS PEMAHAMAN UMAT PAROKI ST. PETRUS TANGGAR KEUSKUPAN RUTENG TENTANG KORELASI ANTARA RITUS CEAR CUMPE DAN PEMBAPTISAN DALAM GEREJA KATOLIK

Abstract

This research is Focused to know the understanding of the people in the village of Golo Nderu, St. Petrus Parish, Ruteng Diocese about the correlation between the rite of cear cumpe and baptism in the Catholic Church. The research method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive analysis model so that a complete picture can be obtained of the level of understanding of the people regarding the correlation of the rite of cear cumpe and baptism in the Catholic Church. The technique of data collecting is done by observing, interviewing and studying the documentation, while the data analysis technique is done by data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the people in the village of Golo Nderu most understood the correlation between the rite of Cear Cumpe and Baptism in the Catholic Church in terms of three things; first, the rite or ceremony itself which emphasizes process, form and material. Second, the values ​​or virtues that exist in the rite of Cear Cumpe and baptism (recognition of the status or rights of a child, initiation and deliverance). The three values ​​or virtues has a relationship with social and religious values, society and cultural values.
